(A) Hose/Tube for Water (Hot Water)
Hose and Industrial Pressure Hose for Pumping Water and Hot Water
Generally, hoses are used as applications for transporting water (such as water sprinkling hose and shower hose). However, if you use an inexpensive vinyl hose for a continuous use under harsh conditions, it may be possible to leak, tear, or deteriorate in a short period of time. A pressure-resistant hose, developed for industrial and industrial use, is highly recommended for plant and industrial machinery.
In this application, we recommend E-TB: PRESSURE HOSE. This is a PVC braided hose that stands for long duration with RoHS 2 compliant certificate. Maximum working pressure (up to I.D. 25mm) at 20$^\circ$C is 1 MPa (10 bar). E-TB can be used up to 60$^\circ$C.
(B) Hose/Tube for Industrial Oil
Turbine Oil Hose for Oil Resistant Hose and Hydraulic Oil
When a general-purpose soft PVC hose is used, hose hardening is accelerated by the elution of the plasticizer, resulting in early deterioration.
Oil has many types: from gasoline, kerosene, fuel oil, industrial oil (Operating oil, machine oil, gear oil, turbine oil, etc.), insulating oil to oil. When fuel oil or cleaning oil is poured into a soft PVC hose, the hose hardens and the deterioration becomes faster. (The definition of oil resistance is resistance against mineral oil and lubricating oil.)
The data shown below are the result of soaking the hose for 4 weeks (at 60$^\circ$C). E-TB (Standard PVC Hose) elutes and becomes hardened. On the other hand, E-STB (Oil Resistance PVC Hose) is still flexible after 4 weeks. HAKKO recommends E-STB: Oil-Proof PRESSURE HOSE, as E-STB is suitable for any application requiring high oil resistance such as coolant oils, vacuum cleaners, oil skimmer and coolant chiller.
Results: E-STB shows better oil resistant performance than E-TB.
