Due to the increasing trend toward saving man-power and painting standardization, robotic painting at automotive and motorcycle factories has been adopted. Of course, since this is a painting process, the tubing should have enough resistance against various kinds of paints.
So far, many users have adopted a single-layer fluorine tubing or nylon tubing. However, a single-layer fluorine or nylon tubing is so stiff that in some cases, its hardness cannot tolerate against the robotic movement. (Since the robot moves quickly with complicated motion in some times, robotic painting tubing requires some degrees of flexibility.)
Thus, customers request the following two features: Flexibility and Paint Resistance.
Also, in some cases, in order to reduce the generation of the static electricity, anti-static features are necessary to the tubing. HAKKO can offer various kinds of tubing for this growing demand of robotic painting.
(A) Standard Product Offer
Our standard offer is E-SJ: Flexible Fluorine (ETFE) Resin Tubing. Frequently used sizes for robotic painting
are I.D. 4mm$\times$O.D. 6mm, I.D. 6mm$\times$O.D. 8mm, I.D. 1/4"$\times$O.D. 3/8" and I.D. 8mm$\times$O.D. 10mm. Compared with a single-layer fluorine or nylon tubing, our E-SJ is much more flexible.
Flexible Fluorine (ETFE) Resin Tubing [Model Number: E-SJ]
Inner Diameter : 2 - 9 mm & 1/8" - 1/4"
(B) Anti-Static Product Offer
We can also offer an anti-static version of our standard E-SJ.
Flexible Fluorine (ETFE) Resin Tubing (Anti-Static Type) [Model Number: E-SJAST]
Inner Diameter : 4 - 8 mm
Besides the products above, we can propose a product that reduces the friction on the outer layer (polyurethane layer). The smoothness on the outer layer helps to reduce the friction of each tube, making it easier to put together in one bundle.
