Piping for cosmetics requires higher levels of sanitation, lower levels of odor and elution.
Quality of cosmetics is very important as it directly touches with human skin. Also, some cosmetics (such as cream and lotion) are high viscosity, so piping should be non-stickiness. HAKKO can offer non-PVC products for customers in cosmetics and flagrance industries.
(A) For Filling Line
Filling line usually requires a small I.D. size. We have two options: KY TUBE [E-KYT] and Flexible Fluorine (ETFE) Resin Tubing [E-SJ]. E-KYT is an olefin tubing, soft and economical product. On the other hand, E-SJ is a ETFE fluorine tubing that is suitable for sticky liquids and cosmetics.

(B) For Delivery Line
Delivery line requires a relatively large I.D. size. We have three options: KY SUNFOODS HOSE [E-KYS], Flexible Fluorine (ETFE) Resin Yarn Reinforced Hose [E-SJB] and Flexible Fluorine (ETFE) Resin SUS Spring Wire [E-SJSP]. E-KYS is an olefin braided hose, while E-SJB/E-SJSP is a ETFE fluorine hose that is suitable for sticky liquids and cosmetics. Also, we have the ferrule option for E-SJB/E-SJSP.

We explained that PVC hoses contain plasticizer and stabilizer. Those components reach with alcohol and chlorine-based chemicals, giving out the odor. Instead, we recommend non-PVC hoses: KY SUNFOODS HOSE [E-KYS] and Flexible Fluorine (ETFE) Resin SUS Spring Wire Hose [E-SJSP]. These two hoses do not contain any plasticizer. The levels of elution are vey low and the odor to the cosmetics is going to be limited. Company A was satisfied with our recommendation and decided to purchase Flexible Fluorine (ETFE) Resin SUS Spring Wire Hose [E-SJSP].
